Abstract: | The novel multi-wavelength fiber ring laser based on a sampled chirped fiber Bragg grating with a single SOA or a hybrid gain medium is demonstrated, respectively. In case of a hybrid gain medium, the SMSR improvement of ~ 5 dB was obtained when compared with the system with a single SOA. The proposed fiber laser offers advantages such as simple structure, low loss, multi-wavelength lasing lines with moderate output power. |
