| Abstract: | The link between the Absar-Coleman and the Valdemoro reduced Hamiltonian has been established. Further, a study of the size-consistency of approximations based on these Hamiltonians has been carried out. It is found that the energies obtained with reduced Hamiltonians that are defined in the full configuration interaction model spaces are not size consistent. |
