| Abstract: | 1-Bromo- and 1-iodo-1-alkynes are alkylated by organocopper(I) compounds. Alkenylcopper(I) derivatives undergo substitution with retention of configuration leading to conjugated and functional enynes, from which conjugated dienes can be obtained. |
