| Abstract: | Tertiary bis(methoxycarbonyl)methyl phosphines are reversibly isomerized to ylids with a PH bond. The phosphine- PH ylid equilibrium depends on the solvent nature, on the concentration, temperature and substituents at the phosphorus atom. |
