Abstract: | Precise oxidation of FeII
4(μ3-OH)2(OOCBut)6(EtOH)6 afforded the mixed-valent hexanuclear complex FeII
4FeIII
2(μ4-O)2(μ3-OOCBut)4(μ-OOCBut)6(HOOCBut)3(EtOH)]· ·HOOCBut. The structure of the latter was established by X-ray diffraction. The magnetic properties of the new complex were studied.
