Der physikalische Größenbegriff in der Dosimetrie ionisierender Strahlung
Authors:Siegfried R. Wagner
Abstract:The Concept of Physical Quantity in the Dosimetry of Ionizing Radiation After a short introduction of the physical quantity concept, its development in the dosimetry of ionizing radiation is described in the light of the “roentgen” unit and the quantity “exposure”. The importance of the “additivity” for the measurability of a quantity is explained, and the necessity to specify quantities is pointed out. The quantities “absorbed dose” and “dose equivalent” are introduced, and for the “dose equivalent index” the consequences for practical measurements are demonstrated resulting from non-additivity.
