Spectroscopic studies of poly(ethylenimine) backbone polynucleotide analogs |

| Abstract: | The hypochromicity of poly(ethylene glycol methyl ether)-b-poly(ethylenimine) containing thymine derivatives as pendants was observed in water, 0.1N HCl and 0.1N NaOH solutions. The hypochromic effect of this compound is between 30% and 40%. Interactions between this polynucleotide analog and poly-A was only found in water but not in 0.1N HCl or 0.1N NaOH solution. |
