Abstract:The Raman spectra of aluminium bromide in different solvents were measured. It was found that the Raman Spectra of these binary colorless systems strongly vary with temperature: at low temperatures (T<250K) the bridge vibration ν2 at 210 cm−1 which is characteristic for Al2Br6 disappears. The discussion of the presented results gives the conclusion that the interaction of Aluminiumbromide and solvent leads to the breaking of only one bridge.
