| Abstract: | The simple method described employs the direct detection as “alizarinfluorine-blue complex”. The interfering influence of high contents of sulphate and chloride can be eliminated by correction. Good reproducibility has been obtained when applying the method to very hard water samples, also in comparison with the values obtained by distillation. |
