Abstract: | A mild and efficient method for the synthesis of naphtho[2,3‐f]pyrano[3,4‐c]quinoline derivatives via three‐component reaction of aromatic aldehyde, anthracen‐2‐amine, and tetrahydropyran‐4‐one is described using iodine as catalyst. The features of this procedure are mild reaction conditions, good to high yields, and operational simplicity. |
