Catalytic Reduction of NO on the Natural Mordenite(HM) Supported Pt and/or Pd Catalysts

Abstract:The catalytic reduction of NO on Pt/HM, Pt Pd/HM and Pd/HM catalysts has been studied. The results indicate that activity of the catalysts for CO NO and CO O 2 reaction follows the order Pt Pd/HM>Pt/HM>Pd/HM. The activity for CH 4 NO reaction follows the order Pt/HM>Pt Pd/HM>Pd/HM, but Pt Pd/HM>Pd/HM>Pt/HM for CH 4 O 2 reaction. The catalysts produce N 2O during NO reduction at lower temperatures, whereas N 2 formation dominates at higher temperatures.
