| Abstract: | In conjunction with iodoxybenzene as oxidant, perfluorooctylseleninic acid serves as a catalyst for the oxidation of aryl alkyl ketones to the corresponding ketoacids. Benzylic methylene groups are also oxidized by this reagent combination to the corresponding ketones. |
