Abstract:The selective in situ synthesis of trans and cis(CH3CN)-Ru(bpy)(CO)2 (CH3CN)2]2+ isomers from the same Ru(CO)2 (CH3CN)3]22+ dimer precursor but using either an electrochemical-chemical or chemical-electrochemical process is described.
