Abstract:	Highly diastereoselective intramolecular C-H bond activation at a prochiral sp³ carbon was achieved with a cationic iridium complex having an optically active heterochelate PN(R) [PN(R)=o-Ph₂PC₆H₄CH₂OCH₂ ligand.
