Abstract: | Colored soda-lime-silicate glass was successfully converted into silica by a novel process of hydrothermal treatment in subcritical condition followed by leaching in nitric acid. This method may provide a new non-toxic and low-energy consuming process for the recycling of inorganic wastes. |
