| Abstract: | The worm is a widely used mechanical element. Besides the relating spiral parameters generally onlythe profile shape of one section is given concretely in its technical specification. Other profiles are required whenanalyzing engagement characteristic, inspecting, and designing of the cotting tools, so it is necessary to makeconversion. For this purpose, a comparatively direct and simple spiral projecting conversion method is developedin this paper. |
