| Abstract: | We are concerned with the Taguchi's parameter design in this article. With introducing a new model, we propose a nonparametric estimator of the variance in the SN ratio in the cross product design suggested by Taguchi. The new method is available not only for classifying the factors, but also for checking the goodness of fit to the model employed. An example is given to illustrate the method. |
