Abstract:
We consider the pressure-dependence of the interfacial tension of a critical nucleus on the basis of the Gibbs interfacial thermodynamics formalism. We rewrite the Gibbs–Duhem relation for the critical nucleus in the multicomponent fluid for the general formulation. The binary-ideal-solution reduction version of the formula is shown to be in good agreement with experimental results.
