Abstract: | Computational fluid dynamics is used to model atmospheric transport and droplet-thin film (surface) collisions in desorption electrospray ionization; experimentally obtained droplet properties are replicated in the simulations while a "droplet pick-up" mechanism of analyte transport is confirmed. |
