Abstract:This paper introduces the results about DC flow and second orifice. In analysis, it isfound that direct current flow (DC flow) through double-inlet valve in pulse tube refrigeratoris not zero generally) and the DC flow direction may change when pressure wave changes.For one-order sinusoidal wave, the net DC direction is from hot end of pulse tube to coldend; but if second-order sinusoidal wave existing, the net DC flow direction may be changed.During experiments, through measuring the change of temperature, author found thatthe net DC flow direction in pulse tube is from pulse tube cold tip to hot end (opposite togenerally condition). Then second orifice is arranged from second-stage reservoir to highpressure pipe of compressor. Through experiments, second orifice is revealed to be effectiveto lower the temperature to a certain extent. This scheme is proposed for the first time.
