| Abstract: | N-Heterocyclic carbene-Pd(II) complex 1 derived from proline was found to be an efficient catalyst in the Mizoroki-Heck reaction of aryl bromides and iodides performed in water. The reactions can tolerate various functional groups in the substrates and all gave the corresponding coupling products in good to high yields. |
