Abstract:Alkylidenecyclopropanes undergo ceric(IV) ammonium nitrate (CAN)-mediated addition reaction with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds leading to dihydrofuran derivatives incorporating cyclopropyl groups in moderate yields.
