| Abstract: | The solution of the problem can be expressed by an infinite series with odd terms as well as even terms. The velocity distribution on the inlet surface is given. Numerical results show that the region of a Poiseuille profile in the tube is always existent when the length of the tube is longer than the diameter. Both the characteristic pressure difference and the friction increase linearly with the length of the tube approximately. |
