Abstract: | The Chromosome Network in Japan was established just after the critical Tokai-mura accident in 2001 with the purposes of (1) integrating work to be ready for a large-scale radiation accident, (2) establishing standard methods for cytogenetic dose estimation, (3) creating a standard dose response curve in Japan, (4) preparing a training program for cytogenetic dose estimation and (5) training successors for biodosimetry work. In order to perform the cytogenetic dose estimation according to the same criteria, an inter-laboratory comparison is being experimentally carried out among the laboratories in the Chromosome Network. |
