| Abstract: | This paper presents the detailed analyses and simplifications on the slug flow regimes inside gravity heat pipes. The slug flow in the evaporation section of industrially used heat pipes is quantitatively described. The result reveals the explicit relation of the lift length of the liquid slugs carried by vapour plug with volumetric flow rate and pressures at both ends of pipes. |
