Abstract: | The holographic photochemical signal from triphenylimidazole in a polyvinylbutyral film, using the ultraviolet lines of an argon ion laser arises from its cyclization to 2-phenyl-9,10-phenanthroimidazole. An irreversible ultraviolet active holographic photochemical system is illustrated for which the final photoproduct appears to be stable. |
