Synthesis and spectral properties of isomeric [(12-N-methyl) and (10-N-methyl)]-11-(o,and p-substituted-anilino)-5H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepines

The preparation of sixteen novel substituted (10-N-methyl) and (12-N-methyl)]-11-(o-, and p-substituted-anilino)-5H-dibenzob,e]1,4]diazepines which have potentially useful pharmacological properties is described. The structure and the isomeric differences in all products was corroborated by ir, ¹H-nmr, ¹³C-nmr, and mass spectra.
