The glycosides of the roots from Kanahia laniflora (Forssk.) R. Br. 2. Structure of kalanoside-H and Kalanoside-K |

| Abstract: | The total acidic hydrolysis of kalanoside-H and kalanoside-K yielded 12-O-acetyl-17-isolineolon as well as three sugars: oleandrose, canarose and digitoxose. From partial hydrolysis and UV., IR. and NMR. spectral data, it could be concluded that kalanoside-H is probably a trisaccharide glycoside having the partial formula 1a or 1b , and similarly that kalanoside-K has probably the partial formula 2 . |
