| Abstract: | This review covers a range of pyrrolizidine alkaloids which have been isolated from various natural sources. The synthesis of necines and necic acids is described along with pharmacological and biological studies of pyrrolizidine alkaloids. The literature from July 2000 to June 2001 is reviewed, and 59 references are cited. |
