Abstract:The known triterpene glycosides hederagenin 3-O-agr-L-arabinopyranoside, hederagenin 3-O-\-D-glucopyranoside, oleanolic acid 3-O-beta-sophoroside, hederagenin 3-O-beta-sophoroside, and their 28-O-beta-gentiobiosyl esters, respectively, in addition to the new triterpene glycoside 3-O-beta-sophorosyl-28-O-agr-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1rarr4)-O-beta-gentiobiosyl hederagenin are isolated fromFatsia japonica (Araliaceae) seeds.
