Abstract: | Hydrogen bond complexing (BHB)+ between N-bases and their cations has been examined by infrared spectroscopy and potentiometry. In the acetonitrile (AN) solution there have been studied hetero-systems (B + B1H+), where the differing bases, B, may be triethylamine, N-methylpiperidine, morpholine, N-methylimidazole, pyridine, 2- and 3-chloropyridine, quinoline and trimethyl-N-oxide with B1H+ : trimethyl-N-oxideH+ and N-methylimidazoleH+. Homocomplex (Me3NO)2H+ has been distinguished. In the H-bridges cation the stretching band νs (NH+) and (?OH+) are dependent directly on the paH and formation constant Kf of the component bases. |
