Abstract: | Using the percolation reinforcement model, it has been shown that the main factor governing the degree of reinforcement of polymer/2D-nanofiller composites is the ability of a nanofiller to generate interfacial regions. This parameter is interrelated with two fundamental structural characteristics of a nanocomposite, i.e., the fractal dimension of its structure and the content of polymer matrix/nanofiller interfacial surfaces. The negative effect of high nanofiller anisotropy on the elasticity modulus of a nanocomposite is demonstrated. |
