| Abstract: | Panchromatic sensitizers: A series of ruthenium(II) compounds was prepared that contain three thiocyanate ligands and a novel chelating terpyridine ligand. The latter (see picture: colors indicate orbital occupation) serves as an effective and versatile light-harvesting auxochrome. One compound has a solar conversion efficiency of up to 10.3?%. |
