Abstract: | The influence of the position of a supersonic jet source relative to a flat plate and of the size of a hole on it on the amplitude and frequency of shock wave oscillations is numerically investigated by integrating 2D Navier-Stokes equations using the predictor-corrector scheme of the second-order accuracy in time and space. Depending on the source-plate distance, an increase in the hole size raises or lowers the oscillation frequency. The oscillation amplitude decreases with increasing hole size. |
