| Abstract: | The low-frequency density and current response of diffusing ions is calculated for superionic conductors. In particular, it is shown that the peculiar dispersion of the conductivity of α-AgI at low frequencies is due to the scattering of silver ions by slowly relaxing local density fluctuations caused by the other silver ions. |
