Abstract:summary The reaction of telomerization of ethylene with carbon tetrachloride or chloroform is initiated by hexacarbonyls of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten at 115–120Dagger, forming agr,agr,agr,OHgr-tetrachloroalkanes and agr,agr,agr-trichloroalkanes. respectively.
