| Abstract: | The reactions of N"-acyl and N"-tosyl-substituted hydrazides of 2-aminobenzoic acid with aliphatic, aromatic, and heterocyclic aldehydes or aliphatic ketones afforded 3-acyl- and 3-tosylamido-1,2-dihydroquinazolin-4-one derivatives, respectively. The structures of the reaction products were established by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. |
