Abstract: | Reaction of titanocene dichloride with two equivalents of silver hexafluoroantimonate in sulphur dioxide quantitatively yields Cp2Ti(SbF6)2 (Cp = η5-C5H5) and AgCl. The titanocene bishexafluoroantimonate was recrystallized from SO2 and characterized by chemical analysis, 1H NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy. |
