Abstract:Polyaspartic acid(PSAP) was employed to modify the surface of superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO).The colloidal stability of SPIO could be adjusted by the amount of PSAP and the modified SPIO showed improved stability under physiological condition.Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) experiments of rabbit brain demonstrate that the PSAP modified SPIO can be well dispersed into the brain tissue,resulting in enhanced contrast of the MRI images.
