Exact solutions to the first-order perturbation problem in a de Sitter background

Abstract:We study field perturbations in a de Sitter background described by static coordinates. Using Wald's method we obtain a pair of equations for the Debye potentials corresponding to these field perturbations. These equations are solved exactly, thus solving the linearized perturbation problem in a de Sitter background.
