Abstract: | The carbon-silicon bond in alkenyl(alkoxy)silanes is readily cleaved by hydrogen peroxide to form the corresponding aldehydes, carboxylic acids or ketones, depending upon the nature of the alkenyl group and the reaction conditions. |
