| Abstract: | Within the Heisenberg model the scattering of spin waves by a dislocation can be calculated in the low energy limit, taking into account the structure of a simple cubic lattice. The differential cross section for the scattering by a screw dislocation is shown to have the same form as for the scattering by a step dislocation, if thes-wave-scattering caused by local disturbances is neglected. |
