| Abstract: | The studies on the theory of optical bistability and the mechanism of optical nonlinea-rity are reviewed briefly, and the new progresses in exploring integrated optical bist-abile devices with high speed and low energy, especially GaAs MQW optical bistable devices, are introduced. |
