Abstract: | We studied the general time‐dependent linear and quadratic system via dynamical symmetries. In an algebraic framework, we obtained exact solutions of the evolution operators, propagators, and wave functions of the general time‐dependent linear and quadratic system. To illustrate our calculations, we discuss a few special cases, including a particle driven by a monochromatic electric field, and cases of oscillatory, linear, or monotonic with respect to the time of the quadratic system. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
