Abstract: | {[Cu2(L‐val)2(4,4′‐bipy)(H2O)2](NO3)2}n was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by X‐ray diffraction. In the presence of 4,4′‐bipyridine, deprotoned L‐valine chelates CuII ions into coordination layers which were linked into a framework by hydrogen‐bonded chains resulting from nitrate anions and water molecules. |
