| Abstract: | Design guidelines for conductor backed coplanar waveguide are reviewed. A range of coplanar waveguide discontinuities for use in a 44 GHz monolithic low noise amplifier and appropriate equivalent circuits are presented. The discontinuities are characterised over the frequency range 30–60 GHz. Details of the fabrication process for the test structures are also given. |
