| Abstract: | In multicelluar organisms,the cell's biological activities are regulated by cell signaling.The cell proliferation and differentiation can be decided by various signal transduction pathways.If these signal pathways are miscoordinative,the multicelluar organism will suffer disasters or fatal diseases.Germline stem cells(GSC) are the center of gametogenesis and can also proliferate and differentiate like other stem cells.the proliferation of GSC can maintain the number of gamete.Otherwise,the abnormal proliferation of GSC will make organisms Infertile.In this review,we discuss the effects of signal transduction pathways,like TGF,JAK-STAT and Piwi signal pathway,on the proliferation of germline stem ccells. |
