| Abstract: | 1‐Aryl‐1H‐benzotriazole derivatives were synthesized via intramolecular cyclization of easily obtained triazenes, using CuI as the catalyst, DMSO as the solvent, t‐BuONa as the base, and 1,10‐phenanthroline as the ligand, in up to 97% yield. The synthesis is regiospecific and functional group‐tolerant. |
