Abstract:There has been a major breakthrough in the design and synthesis of selective stationary phases in reversed-phase, ion-exchange, size-exclusion and affinity mode of high-performance liquid chromatography. Tailored stationary phases now have widespread applications in sample clean-up by solid phase extraction, as sorbents in microbore, analytical and preparative columns, and in large-scale separations.
