Abstract: | New fluorescence derivatization techniques are introduced for the quantitative determination of arginine- or tyrosine-containing peptides by high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. The methodology offers enhancement of both sensitivity and specificity. It is thus suitable for trace (0.1–10 pmol) analysis of the bioactive peptides such as angiotensins and enkephalins. |
